Love the idea of a neighbourly duel with courgettes – and in BULGARIAN. Respect. And love the idea of baba ganoush for courgettes! Great piece as always!

Mmmhhh, this is my next recipe with courgettes. I'm at the moment without courgettes - I know, quite an unprecedented situation - but I'll get some from the market tomorrow. Sadly our vegetable garden is very ungenerous with courgettes.

Ours have slowed a bit because it's been extremely hot and dry, so we have a nice, steady amount instead of a crazy amount. But I'm always ready for a glut. Hope you find some beauties at the market. Enjoy!

Loved this! I just wrote about the exact same “problem.” When the zucchini comes in it really comes in!

That first summer was a real baptism of courgettes. Amazing I ever grew them again, really.

Just the post I need, now please can you do one about broad beans! I am trying that dip immediately

I've grown broad beans a couple of times but we never get a real glut of them. Just enough to scatter in salads... Maybe I just need to grow more plants and really pack them in? I do love broad beans. Let me know how you get on with the dip.

Love your recipes, just in time to expand my go to list. They also make an easy substitute or half/half in Tarator, with either dairy free or regular yoghurt. Also told this morning it makes a good marmalade style jam.

Great suggestions, thanks Sally. I never make tarator, but I should!
